Clara Hensel
Meet Clara — Where Compassion Begins at Home

Care isn’t just about tasks — it’s about presence, trust, and understanding. My journey has always been rooted in connection, in restoring confidence, and in supporting people where they feel most safe: at home.
As a dedicated homecare provider, I’m here to do more than offer assistance. I’m here to create a space of comfort and dignity — where every individual feels truly seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re beginning your homecare experience or looking to enhance your current care, I’ll walk beside you with attentiveness, respect, and genuine commitment.
About Our Homecare Mission
Roots Community Home Care LLC is dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centered home care services that honor each individual’s dignity, culture, and choices. Our mission is to support adults in remaining safe, stable, and independent in the comfort of their homes and communities, while nurturing meaningful connections, promoting quality of life, and empowering them to live with purpose and respect.

Receiving care at home is not about limitation — it’s about choice. It’s about preserving routine, autonomy, and the emotional security that only familiar surroundings can offer. Every person I care for has a unique story shaped by life, change, and personal rhythm — and that deserves personalized support.
With thoughtful care, gentle presence, and services tailored to your specific needs, we reconnect to peace of mind and a deep sense of self-worth. My mission is to nurture more than your physical needs — it’s to honor your full experience.
Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Lavonda!
Lavonda Taylor is the heart and soul behind Roots Community Home Care LLC.
With over 14 years of experience in healthcare and childcare, Lavonda’s journey began with a passion for helping others live better, fuller, and more meaningful lives.
As a mother of seven and a proud community leader, Lavonda knows what it means to care with love, patience, and understanding. Her vision for Roots Community Home Care grew from her belief that every person deserves to be treated like family with dignity, safety, and compassion at the center of every service provided.
Her career began in hands-on caregiving as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she built trust and deep connections with the people she served. Over time, she expanded her mission, creating a care agency that supports adults, families, and caregivers across the Fargo–Moorhead region and Northern Minnesota.
Today, Lavonda continues to lead by example; training her staff, supporting her team, and ensuring every client receives high-quality, culturally responsive care. Her leadership is guided by faith, family values, and a lifelong commitment to uplifting others through service.
“Roots was built on love, love for people, love for growth, and love for community.
My goal is to make sure every person we care for feels seen, valued, and supported.”
